  • "More substantial blogs other than sexploits and Twilight"

free2chuze threw down a little smackdown in our last contributor appreciation post: "Hoping to get more substantial blogs from you guys other than sexploits and Twilight."

WTF!  We've caught a mouse, and decided whether to kill it (I would've killed it with a mallet, but my girlfriend claimed it was her mouse and released it three blocks away to die a slow painful death by Mother Nature)... and then discussed the best ways we'd each like to die.  This had nothing to do with sexploits or Twilight.  We've also talked about flip flops and music concerts... and that's just on the first page (I'm too lazy to click back to earlier pages).  If anything, we probably need more sexploits on Mancouch (but less Twilight).

Anyway I asked free2chuze what kind of substantial blogs he'd like to see from us and he said this:

How about writing on the differences between male and female music playlist? I've been wondering if gender plays a part in choosing the right songs for their webpages.

I'm far too lazy to research a post on gender differences, so I'll just share my gut reaction: yes.  Because no self-respecting man would put music on their blog or profile... but if a girl is cute, she can do whatever she wants and get away with it.  If she's outright hot, she can even add those sparking cursor things to my mouse and I'll think it's adorable.

Agree/disagree?  And for the sake of free2chuze, try to be SUBSTANTIAL haha...

Music(that you can't shut off) on blogs is a bad idea. I read blogs out of my own curiosity and free will, but then im forced to listen to crappy music which makes bitter my opinion of what i read and the person writing. So yes. Music in your page you can't shut off because its embedded is BULLSHIT.

as far as the sprakly shit goes... this is what happens when cretins with little to no design knowledge think theyre web designers because they copied code from some other sites(that imbeds ads and virus type things) and make it look semi legible.

But then again, im a photographer/graphic designer/artist by trade passion and hobby so im biased against hideous blogs ;p

They're like Republicans.  They complain all the time, and yet, have no better alternatives.

main difference between men's and women's music selections? typically, it depends on the man or woman... but normally, you'll find more rock (which can include punk rock) on a guy's playlist. Like: weezer, u2, jimmy eat world (actually, I like them myself, lol). if it's a black male: rap, r&b, hip hop. On a black woman's, there will be a LOT of r&b. other than that... umm... other women, if they're young, there will be a lot of pop, which will turn into some rock when they get older. maybe even a bit of country.

someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but these are usually the differences that I hear.
