I went to high five a female coworker yesterday and she looked super confused. Apparently my high five looked like I was telling her to stop talking (like that song, "Stop in the Name of Love")
First of all, I'm going to have to start using my high five to shut people up when they are talking too much.
But also, she said that she didn't think I was high-fiving her because (and I quote), "You look like the sort of guy who would pound."
Haha I do pound... but I only pound guys (hmm, that came out wrong). But it made me realize, I never pound girls (again, this isn't coming out right but you get the idea).
All kidding aside... do you high five or pound?

pound for guys, high five for girls. Unless the girls are ghetto, then I pound them.
It's called fisting, not pounding. Pounding just sounds dirty.
i high five when someone gives me their fist, and i give them my fist if they want a high five. sometimes i do the "paper covers rock!" bit from demetri martin
i pound! but it confuses people because i'm like "HIGH FIVE!!!" and they go in for it...and i suddenly change to a fist.

The way i see it pounding is coming from bottom of your fist to top of theirs and fisting is knuckle to knuckle but i high five girls and fist guys as a greeting i sometimes high five a guy if he says something amazing
