  • Women Celebrities I Openly Crush On

Since we are all open to talking about celebrity crushes on women here, I'm probably that rare dude that really finds no real use in crushing on girls like Jessica Alba or Carmen Electra. In fact, whenever I see them, I am the one left shrugging his shoulders.

To me, a girl that has a good amount of subtlety and special things about her makes me fall for her. Now I won't really say I fell for these celebrities per se, but I will openly admit I have a crush on them for what they are. Here are 6 women that I am sold on (that aren't likely to get their own Lovelyish or ThePopSite post).

    Ellen Muth:
I have a thing for girls not afraid to be smart, witty, and still likely to make a manturn into Lightspeed Champion. Or perhaps, I was just looking at Georgia. Either way, a girl who seems that real  should gain eyes from all around. Oddly enough, she hasn't really gained the same media attention as, say, Alba or the like, so what she is doing right now in the entertainment vein is anybody's guess. Not to mention, the girl is also a MENSA member. Once I read that, I was sold, and afraid to cross her Wikipedia page. It took a lot just to collect a picture so you know what she looks like. Haha!

    Julie Goldman:
Now, I know it is not wise to assume people, and I also know she's openly a lesbian, but still, she seems like the type of girl you can play football with in the backyard (I have a a bit of a thing for tomboys), as well as raise a few kids with. Oh come on. Plus, she is funny. We have been talking about women who can make you laugh before, right?

    Shystie:
You know those type of women who aren't afraid to take on the big boys (she's a grime rapper), but will also maintain her feminity, too? That's the realistic Shystie. Once you have heard her CD, you'll understand why she is a breath of fresh air, as a view of what women can be, rather than ought-to-be's.

    Amanda Palmer:
Witty, Smart, Not afraid to stick up for the underdogs, or start worthy revolutions, even if that revolution is loving your belly. If she sees your average mean girl trying to take you or run game, she'll probably be the first to crack one square on her cheek. I can't even pay attention to the fact that her song "Ampersand" suggests she isn't the relationship type of woman.

    Kimya Dawson:
I tend to have things for girls who will openly admit she has her awkward side, but isn't afraid to be that. On her records, she seems like the type to babysit your kids, but on records like My Cute Sweet Fiend Princess, she also sounds like the type who you can trade dirty jokes to. Infectious smile and positive outlooks on life. Not only that, but she is a dedicated mom who could care less about what the media expects of her. Plus, listening to her records are a lot like having conversations or reading her blogs. You'll be glad to have a chance to meet with her face to face, if you the chance.

    Beth Ditto:
I have read her interviews, and she will be the first to tell you she doesn't really care what you think of her weight, her down South upbringing, or even the fact that she cracked to a major label. The things she says are pretty funny, and somehow I can't stop staring at how beautiful she is, and how likely she is to flip two birds, if you think otherwise. You think she won't, after embarrassing a viewer of MTV by posting hatemail as a default picture of the Gossip image?

There are my choices of women who are nothing like Jennifer Lopez or Jessica Alba, but the little personalities they harbor makes me have an interest in them even more.
