Do you use Smileys?
I have a confession to make: I use smileys a fair amount when I email with girls.
I rarely use smileys with other guys, especially in a business context. It's hard to battle for alpha position when you're using smileys. : - )
Lately I've been making an effort to cut back on the smileys with both genders, but it's been hard. I yam what I yam, and apparently I like to emote through emoticons. I use noses in my smileys though, like this. : - ) I am not a fan of the cuter smiley. :) It's just too much for me.
Do you use smileys? Do you use the manlier smiley? : - ) Or the girlier one? :)
ps Trick question, there is no such thing as a manly smiley.

My friend and I have 3 rules.
1. Bros before Ho's
2. Kill me if I become a zombie
3. No smileys in any of our conversations.
There are no exceptions to these rules.....EVER.
yes smileys are not manly but I still use them only when talking with girls.... -_-

I am a gal. I often used smileys. Even in person. I don't any wrinkles
on my face. I also often go to my dermatologist and undergo with Botox
procedure.

I try to cut back as much as I can. If an expression can be expressed with smileys, it can be expressed with words.
HAHA. I use the unisex smiley =D and girly smiley :D
I use alot of smileys too because I feel that i can express more when i type.

i never use paratheses in my smileys
i use smileys. but i guess it might not look as "unmanly" since i'm a girl.
but for guys, most of my guy friends just use xD, xP, nothing like :) and oh, most of them use ^_^, -__- something like that.
