Looks aren't everything: some beautiful actresses just have bad taste (or bad agents?). Whenever I hear that Jennifer Aniston came out with a new movie, I just wince (more on her later).
So without further ado, here are the top 5 Beautiful Actresses who consistently star in Bad Movies. Their first names all start with J, but I swear that's a total coincidence!
#5: Jennifer Lopez J-Lo has been in a ton of stinkers: Jersey Girl, Gigli, Anaconda... and those are just the ones I've heard about.
On the plus side, she's been in movies that are actually good before. Out of Sight was a fantastic movie, and she had a great role in it. That redeemed her enough to earn her the #5 slot on our list.
#4: Jennifer AnistonJennifer Aniston's acting career has been kept alive by her tabloid career.
Jen, what were you thinking... Picture Perfect? Along Came Polly? Object of my Affection?
Office Space was great though, and she had a voice role in Iron Giant. Those were enjoyable movies, so Jen squeaks in at #4.
#3: Jennifer GarnerDamn, three Jennifers in a row.
It's not that Jennifer is in horrible movies (although Daredevil and Elektra come pretty close). It's that she's never been in a good movie, ever. Her only possible claim here is
13 going on 30, which is sad.
Plus she divorced Scott Foley when she got famous, and he plays a badass special forces soldier on The Unit. You don't divorce a special forces operator - that's a double Mancouch no-no...
#2: Jessica Simpson 
Her best movie ever is Dukes of Hazzard. I mean, isn't that kind of sad? Her other movies have been Employee of the Month, Blonde Ambition, and Major Movie Star (this was her last movie; it came out in 2008 and went straight to DVD).
I almost feel bad for her... I think her only hit ever has been her reality TV show. *shakes head*

Derailed with Jennifer Aniston was pretty good. At least kept me on the edge of my seat, and constant twists that I didn't expect.
As far as Jessica Alba- I thought Honey was a pretty decent movie. I've seen it. It was pretty good and was a very popular choice back when I worked in a movie rental store.
Jennifer Aniston ain't that bad...but other than that...the list looks pretty accurate
All I can say is, as a theatre minor in college, I'm glad my name isn't Jennifer, or even starts with "J," but it does rhyme with it...A. O.O ! ! ! ...oh no! I suck!

I liked J-Lo's movie Enough, but that's about it. I loved Jennifer Aniston when she was on Friends, and she does have a few good movies (The Good Girl? Office Space was already mentioned).

Jessica Alba is pretty. But she cannot act to save her life. My friend and I were literally laughing in her 'thriller and action' movies "Into the Blue" and "The Eye". Maybe that's why all her movies suck.

Some people didn't really care for Lindsay Lohan's movies, right? And as coincidental as it is, Raven Symone was caught in a it of a situation being in the both critically panned Dr. Dolittle follow-ups and College Road Trip. The return album didn't even sell too much, and I thought she had just enough R&B appeal. That's the two I can bring up at the moment. But I think Raven's ones were either, yes, in bad taste or just a simple stroke of bad luck.
And Cameron Diaz is usually given the thumbs down in the comedies (i.e.: What Happens in Vegas, The Sweetest Thing, The Holiday...) But I thought she was a winner in The Mask, so that's a redemption.
it only goes to say is that, just because you're pretty, doesn't always mean that you're going to get a good flick. and the picks up there, the ladies aren't that great of an actress.
@mewithoutu77@xanga - To be honest, I'm almost always on the fence about Jennifer Aniston. All of the roles I ever seen her in is the highly emotional girlfriend. Nothing much else. And in some movies, she even cries, too. I think Jennifer Aniston just needs a new role.
You missed Brittany Murphy. Just because she fulfilled her role well in Sin City didn't make her a great actress... it was just a very easy role.

By the way, what's the status on Carmen Electra, these days one of the things you ever see her in is bad followups in the Scary Movie franchises.
maybe because these are all women who get casted only because they are beautiful...and lack TALENT as an actor.
@mynameisblueskye@xanga - i agree with you. on jennifer aniston, her character never changes, she's had the same character role since her days on friends and when she's in movies, i always see "rachel" in her movie scenes that's why i dont think she's a great actress. to me a great actress is like charlize thereon, cate blanchett, nicole kidman or kate winslet, a person who can transform themselves in the role that they are playing and it's different from other roles.

totally agree. jlo looks hot in that picture, i like her hair. jessica alba too. i wonder if they really are bad actresses or just pretend to be cause they got an "image" to uphold.
you need to get out more. jessica alba was in Sin City. helloooo? that was a mad good movie. it took me two times to finally get it. i kind of dismissed its potential the first time as i was watching it.
