I was talking to a cowkorker, and she mentioned she was out of laundry... and that her outfit today was her last real outfit. Since it's only Thursday, I asked what she was going to wear tomorrow. Her answer amazed me.
"If I can't find something to wear, I'll just spray some Febreze on something and wear that."
Genius!
I think that would only work for girls though... I sweat too much to pull that off. Girls don't sweat though, so Febreze is a viable solution on low laundry days. (Kidding about girls not sweating! But not about Febreze being a viable solution for both genders.)
Anyway it got me thinking: like most guys, I tend to put off laundry until the very last minute... and have explored many alternatives on low laundry days, including:
- Buying new clothes
- Calling in sick
- Wearing a jacket over my shirt the entire day
- Keeping my arms by my side for 9 hours in a row
What sort of creative solutions have you used when you're low on laundry?

When I'm low on laundry, I just don't wear anything.
that's disgusting. she gonna febreeze her panties too? lol
Whatever you do, just don't overload on the cologne! Slap on some deotorant, spray some febreeze, do whatever you gotta do but no one wants to choke on your cloud of musk all day.
I just let the kids run around naked...
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - Nice.
I've done that maybe 3 times. I'm a super neat person and am always on time with my laundry. But I only have one pair of jeans and sometimes an instance pops up where I need to wear jeans, so those three times (I remember they were all for my jeans) I just pulled them out of the bin, febreezed the shit out of them and wore them where I needed.
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - niiiiiiice
LOL at "cowkorker". That is either a really dirty thing to do or one of the worse jobs in the world =P
So....like I can wear outfits two or three times before they start to smell (unless I've been doing something out of the ordinary). It's a freshness issue, not a smelly issue.
i wear my sparkle nightgown when my laundry reaches its world's end. I can't trust that Febreze thing, more due to its mold growth ability.
I can see Febreze uses the same ingredients but brands it differently for guys. Oh! there is one already: Axe. :D Procter & Gamble lost on that one.
one set of outfit per day is a little outrageous. That's what i thought when i first moved into the states. now the grease oozing out of my pores from the highly-rich food diet and the car pollution on the road made me understand the necessity of the frequent style change.
Even as a kid, i changed into one or two outfits per week. in the summer, there is sweat but no oil to grease up the cloths. no cars on the road to kick up dirt and bounce dark matters off the asphalt. ooohhhh the good old days.
That's disgusting. Febreze doesn't get things clean... it just coats them in chemicals that you get to inhale all day long.
ewww
Hmm I actually never had this problem. I never run out of clothes to wear mainly because I do my laundry on time and I have A LOT of clothes lol
But if that does occur... just wear something that doesn't smell and put on deodorant haha
@LadyLibellule@xanga - the point of using the febreeze isn't to get it clean. it's merely used to make sure you don't stink.
Hahaha! This reminds me of other shortcuts I've seen some of my friends do such as using mouth wash instead of brushing and clorox wipes to wipe the body clean rather than actually taking a shower.
lol, I think it's fine for most ppl if their clothing isn't covered in sweat or stains. I don't get grossed out by someone just because they wear something twice without washing it. If no one can tell it's dirty, I think you pass the test.
With that said, I personally just start wearing my fancy clothes when I get low on laundry. I occassionally show up to work in my formal clothing, which leads people to think I either have a date that night or I'm running out of jeans and t-shirt...the latter tends to be true =)
not guna lie, i've febreezed jeans a couple times when i forget to wash em
i sometimes wear the same jeans 5 or 6 times before i get to washing them.
no one can tell.
all my friends do the same thing anyways. lol.
@XIWantALoverIDontHaveToLoveX@xanga - But Febreze stinks. Kinda defeats the purpose, doesn't it?
..you wash your clothes?
Well, I mean, Febreze doesn't remove dirt or anything like that, but if the clothes look clean, then you can just make them smell clean and re-wear them. This way, I don't have to do laundry more than once a month, maximum. If I run out of underwear, I just don't wear any (although it's a bad idea to do this with skirts).
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - PIX?!???? KTHX.
Here's a creative solution: do the laundry!
lol at Dare2BeDifferent and the responses
Is this not MAN couch? What real man has ever asked the question, "Do I stink right now?" Please.
