Sex! Fighting! Explosions! It's Sherlock Holmes!
Hmmm .... I guess I should have expected this from Guy Ritchie. This is the first preview for his new Sherlock Holmes film starring Robert Downey Jr. as the titular character, Jude Law as Watson, and Rachel McAdams as generic love interest #5. I was hoping for something a little less explodey, but oh well, should be fun, at least. Coming soon: Sherlock Holmes will kick your ass.
What do you think about this testosterone filled version of the world's greatest detective?

Honestly? As much as I typically love testosterone filled movies (effects of growing up with lots of brothers) and as much as I < 3 < 3 < 3 < 3 < 3 < 3 < 3 < 3 Downy and Law, I don't think I'll like it.
The main attraction of Sherlock from the time I was six and read the Red-Headed League, was that he fought criminals not with brute strength, but with smarts and ingenuity. (I love Patrick Jane and Shawn Spencer for the same reasons.)
I'm a sucker for a muscled hottie. But I'm a knock-over for a hottie that uses his brains.
