  • Why Guys Can't Be Honest and What They Mean By It

There are very few things guys are certain about in life; jobs, ESPN, and cars.  But when it comes to dating and marriage, many of us are on the fence.

We don't make a commitment because of fear or lie to avoid dealing with awkward and difficult topics.

We also don't like to deal with drama, so the next time a guy says the following lines, take it with their meanings, and try not to dig deeper.

When we tell a girl we're dating, can we just be friends or let's be friends?

The real meaning: You're great, but not hot enough.  I'd like you to stick around just in case in some some crazy way, you become hot again.

And if the above should work, then the next line is: "We should all go out sometime", meaning me and your hot friend.  You can tag along if you like.

Sometimes when we're stuck in a rut, we'll call up someone or IM them and tell them,  "I haven't heard from you in a long time."

The real meaning? We haven't had sex in a while and I'm looking to score soon, so are you available?

Finally when we decide to get serious, we're still kind of scared for our lives, so we say "I really like you".  Of course any guy knows the real meaning behind it. It really means, "I think I'm in love with you but I'm scared as hell because once I say the real words, I can never take them back."

So you see, guys aren't so bad.  We just don't want to hurt women by telling them the truth because god forbid some guy did, his head would be on a platter. And we don't want any heads chopped off do we?

What are some other lines guys say to avoid hurting a girl or dealing with a confrontation?
