  • Guys And Their Level Of Cleanliness

In a recent featured post on Mancouch, the writer post of the post mentioned that he changes his bed sheets every two to six weeks.

One of the readers was surprised and left this comment:

"The thing that scares me is that you say you change the sheets every two - SIX weeks???  Oh my.  I find that really disturbing. Two weeks is the MOST it should EVER go between washes."

This easily demonstrates the definition of cleanliness between the genders.

Personally, I hated washing my bed sheets but I had to wash them every 2-4 weeks.  During my early days in college, I washed them maybe every 3-6 weeks.  The reason for the change was because people started visiting my apartment regularly in the latter years of college which forced me to become cleaner, and I'm thankful for that, even though I'll never let them know.

The other major difference was the seasons.  I washed my bedsheets more often during the summer because I sweated more during those months.  In the winter, I was much more dry and so the laundromat didn't get as many washes.

While I went to the laundromat every 2-3 weeks, my girl friends on the other hand were there almost every week.  Even now when my sister comes to visit, she complains about a certain "guy" smell in my room.

So, often do you wash your bed sheets? Does it vary with the seasons?

My boyfriend wouldn't ever wash his, if I didn't remind him that they smell :P

Growing up, every Saturday morning my mom would make my brother and me strip our beds and the sheets would get washed. Got to college, I simply didn't have time. Def would be every 3-6 weeks, sorry to say. Now, I don't have a bed...I sleep on a couch. So no need to worry about the sheets, I suppose. I also shower at night, so I honestly didn't think the sheets smelled as bad as quickly.

My bf is pretty bad at trying to wash the sheets on a regular basis. Prolly around 4-7 for him. Unless we have a lot of sex in one weekend (we're LDR).

That's a good idea, wash more in summer and less in winter.

I wash my pillow cases way more than I wash my sheets. But I try to do it every 2 weeks if I can really remember.

Ok haven't left for college yet and my mom does all the laundry in the house so I have clean sheets about half as often as the rest of my family because I don't like having to take them off my bed and putting new ones on.  I don't know how long I usually go with the same sheets but the ones on my bed now have been there since like the first week of april.

I had this ex that never even slept with sheets on his bed.  I dated him all of last summer and he only changed the blanket on his bed once though he kept a second pink one in his room always.  And his pillows didn't have pillow cases on them either.  It kinda really grossed me out and my friends too.

what! I was told every month.i do wash it  every 3-5 weeks. in the summer it's 3 times a week.

  • buddy71@xanga

love the pic with the cat sleeping with the guy.

i change and wash my sheets every week. in the winter i may go 2 weeks. but that is the max. the quilt cover at least once a month. pillows every 3-4 months. and the blankets/quilt several times a year depending on the time of the year...summer vs. winter.

i like the feel and smell of clean sheets.  besides....ya never know who may stay over and icky sheets are a turn off in the sex area.

@jakkie_paints_in_purple@xanga - my boyfriend does that too...his blankets are all in a pile and he just lays on top of everything. needless to say, we stay at my place more often.

I only wash my sheets like, once every two months or so. They just simply don't smell or feel dirty, and I think I only wash them because my mother makes me. I washed them twice during college. Then again, I usually slept over my boyfriend's, so they weren't being used anyway haha.

I like to have clean sheets daily , there is nothingmore comforting then drifting off to sleep on fresh clean linen on the bed. The secent of clean linen and a fertile woman how much closer to heaven can you get on earth?

I'm a girl and I'm a neat freak about my room. If there's the slightest bit of dust I swiffer everything. I vacuum at least once a week. But...I don't wash my sheets that much. Maybe like every 6 weeks or so. They never really feel dirty or smell. I should probably wash them tomorrow....

  • TheSpaceBass@xanga

Every Monday I wash my bed sheets, blankets, and pillow cases.

  • spanz@xanga

maybe once every three to four weeks in the winter and in the summer, maybe once every two weeks.

  • ChOcOChObO@xanga

Every week because sex can get messy!

Without the girlfriend, I never washed my sheets. I sleep with some clothes on and I rarely sweat.

  • Anna_Banana_8605@xanga

My brother washed his sheets once a semester in college (everytime he moved home) GROSS needless to say those got thrown away. I wash my sheets every week, sometimes I'll change my sheets twice a week if I went to bed dirty or got really sweaty at night.

What about towels? How many times does a person use those before washing them?

  • quickxsavexme@xanga

wow, i rarely wash my bed sheets.
if i spill something or get them dirty with sand or something i wash them.
or if family is coming over and will be sleeping in my bed.
other then that, it  happens maybe once a month or once every 2 months.

  • xclamation_love@xanga

they actually comment on how good it/i smell.

  • Pcgecko85@xanga

I wash my sheets like every 4 weeks.  They don't smell.  I wash my pillow case every 2 weeks at least.

Cleanliness is essential to successful, since molecular layers of oil can prevent adhesion of the coating. The industry has developed specialized techniques for part cleaning, as well as test for cleanliness. The most commonly used tests rely on the wetting behavior of a clean hydrophilic metal surface. Even with real problems to deal with, some people just can't put the payday lending dispute on the backburner. South Carolina lawmakers decided to cancel the payday lending dispute altogether, by rejecting a bill capping payday loans to 25% of a borrowers' monthly income or $500 (lowest of the two). Consumer advocates hate it, as they want to see the practice of payday lending done away with altogether. Many of them would doubtless give all kinds of installment loans to end the payday lending dispute in their favor.

What all you people forget is your showering habits. I shower every night before I sleep therefor my sheets are cleaner longer. I also sleep in pj bottoms and a t-shirt that get washed regularly. Wash the sheets maybe every other month.

  • lastlyfirst@xanga

Eh. I'm not concerned with how many weeks I go in between sheet washings. I change them when I feel they need to be changed.

  • flowerspushthrudirt@xanga

I think two weeks is the longest they should ever go between washes.

  • flowerspushthrudirt@xanga

@xclamation_love@xanga - you don't ever wash your sheets?!?!  Oh my goodness... that literally makes me feel nauseous.

  • zubes5806@xanga

hehe, i love the cat in that pictures ^_^

um...i wash them every couple of weeks...or at least change them...really, it depends on how often i sleep in my bed, which lately, hasn't been that often lol.
