I hate liars. I'd rather someone hurt me by telling me the truth than beat around the bush or lie. So that's why I'm really blunt when it comes to letting people know how I feel.
Liars can come from anywhere; within the family, friends or colleagues. The easiest liars to catch are girls, especially the ones you date.
Women invest more time in a relationship than men so they give off easy signals that show they're lying.
1. "Forgetting" things: Once a woman hits this point, there's no way you'll get them to "remember" anything. For a guy it's pretty frustrating, especially when you're the guy who usually forgets things and now all of a sudden the tables have turned.
The first time it happened to me, I actually thought the girl forgot but very soon, I found out she had selective memory whenever she decided to lie.
2. Playing with hands: When guys lie, they'll usually have their hands hidden in their jacket/jean pockets but female hands play an important role in their lying scheme. If it's a girl who never uses her hands to communicate, she'll start to play with them as much as she can all of a sudden. This is a sign of uncertainty. But if it's a girl who uses her hands to communicate regularly then she won't use them as much when she's lying to you. She'll hide them like many guys do.
3. Licking lips/Stuttering: This happens to both genders but women stutter more often while guys beat around the bush. Ever watch a girl lying, it's disaster, especially when she's trying to make up things along the way.
The licking off lips is obvious since our human bodies tense up and are stressed, so the saliva in our mouth dries up.
4. Looking around: You know how you always hear that the eyes are the window to the soul, it's actually true. If a girl is lying to you, she will never look into your eyes because she knows you can see she's lying. Little does she know by looking around, as if something is wrong with her neck, she's giving away the fact that she's lying. Many guys are brutal and will just look into the eyes of a woman and can easily lie. Emotions have never been a strong point for men, right?
This is the one thing every guy should know or has learned very quickly. The other 3 can happen for a number of reasons but if she can't look at you when she's replying to you about something serious, then that girl is lying her butt off.

starting to get antsy and begin scratching around the face. I noticed that guys do the scratching thing, too...like scratch behind the ears, rub their itchy nose/eyes/chin,etc. or abnormal blinking of the eyes or they get nervous and start moving their feet/shaking their legs when they are sitting down as if they have to pee but trying to hold it in
or staring straight into your eyes in a blank stare and they don't blink because they are trying to convince you that they aren't lying through a very serious i'm not afraid to look you in the eye type of staring contest
it means that they are trying to counter-attack the usual 'looking away means lying' symptom but it usually backfires.
This can be applied to anyone not just women. Fidgeting, avoiding eye contact, an increase in the pitch of their voice are all signs that someone is lying.

1 and 4 are absolutely not true for me. I have had eye contact problems ever since I was young. So sue me, I'm shy in real life. And I forget little things from time to time, just as my bf does. Fact of life.

Whenever I do any of this stuff, it's because I'm nervous to be around the person, e.g., early on while going out with my boyfriend I got really nervous around him and couldn't look him in the eye ever. So I looked around to make it seem like I was calm and nonchalant, etc.
As for stuttering, I try to talk too fast and I get ahead of my thoughts. Ahahah.
playing with hands, licking/biting lips, and looking around are usually just things I (and a few other people I know) do when we're nervous.
I wish people would stop thinking that body language is a definitive indicator of whether a person is lying or not... it depends a lot on the person's mannerisms and personality.

No..they're ok, i suppose, but do not really apply just to girls. More to most people. And, the last one isn't right-girls can look you in the eye when they lie, too. Some guys will avoid looking at you when they are lying. The opposite is also true- if someone is lying to you they may purposedly be looking you in the eyes...You can't really apply set 'rules' to pick out if a person is lying to you. You need to know them pretty well already to notice subtle or not so subtle changes in their body language that give it away. It changes with each person.
that list is such bullshit. thats right i said it. it depends on the person. i mean if someone is interrogating you its easy to be intimidated and take a little longer to say. i mean alot goes thru ur head when ur being confronted and accused. whatever. itas crap
I do that when I'm nervous, not when I'm lying... I rarely lie so I don't know what I do.
I guess if you're going for sure signs, all four would have to be taken at once, because none of those individually are enough. I mean, I lick my lips when I paint (seriously, to the point where I have to always be chewing gum when I paint or I'll get chapped lips...), and I have the weirdest memory every (it's perfect for completely useless information, but is less than fantastic for other, more important topics).
when i'm talking about something that isn't easy for me, i avoid eye contact. and i'm sure i'm not the only one so i would just say look out for patterns in whoever you are talking to that means something to you. a lot of those things people say girls or boys do when they are lying i do when i'm plain old nervous but being honest.
i don't even try lying. i smile/laugh and give myself away so there's not really a point

I consider myself a pretty damn good liar. I can keep my heartbeat at regular rate and eye contact like usual. Even when I have to make things up as I'm going along, I can do it pretty well.
There are better signs that a girl is lying. Girls talk to to many people, they tend to leave a huge trail that way. Some might not, but many do.
I think these signs apply to most people, not just women. I don't think you can isolate things to these 4 things either. Sometimes people forget, sometimes people fidget because they're nervous for whatever reason. Maybe there's a topic or a gathering that makes him/her uncomfortable.
I must say, I never noticed the licking the lips thing. I'll be sure to keep an eye out that one in the future. haha.

but that is for non- pro liars. I know this girl who can look her bf straight in the eye and lie about not having another bf. Good liars have good memories so they can spin things from the get go.
... a trick if ur lying... if he starts accusing u and he says u cant look in his eyes..look down, start crying and tell him ur angry he doesnt believe u. lol. only works once though. so for guys, if she keeps doing it...lying.
