I just finished watching
Russell Peter's last stand up video,
Red, White and Brown.
He was hilarious as usual but one of the bits stuck out, the part about chest hair and how annoying it can get.
I couldn't stop laughing because it was so true.
Ever see a hairy guy with chest hair popping out of his shirt or worse, when a dude decides to leave his shirt unbuttoned? That ish is straight disgusting.
If you're a guy with that much chest hair, you need to get it trimmed or find a way to make grow less.
I'm a brown guy but my body isn't as hairy as some other guys and even then I still trim my body hair. I do it for a couple of reasons:
1. It's hard to wear a white tee in the summer when you have chest hair.
2. It tends to stick out through the shirt.
3. It's hot as heck with all the body hair.
Honestly, you'll never catch me with an unbuttoned shirt or with a hairy chest.
I know many women who find men with facial hair attractive but I have yet to find a woman who thinks chest hair is attractive (apparently there is a small minority). It's not the 80's when guys like Tom Selleck picked up women with the mustache and chest hair.
Those days have changed, some guys just need to get with the program.
Imagine the shame if you take off your shirt with a girl and your chest looks like this:
I also think guys with hairy chest are lazy as hell. Ever see a guy with a hairy chest and a 6 pack? Hell no! Guys who are in shape get rid of that hairy nonsense to show off their muscles. Guys with hairy chests just want to cover up the fat or at least trying to.
So fellas, do yourself and your girl a favor by trimming your chest hair. It's not unmanly at all. It might even make you a better man.
Should guys trim or wax their chest hair? How often do you see guys with hairy chests?

I have always like hair chests. I don't want my man shaving his.
:0)
Taylor
3. sweats & body odor. :O
4. Kieu doesn't want to bite into a chest full of hair that will tickles inside her mouth.
i'd like my man to be chesthair-free...& i would prefer that he wax it...trimming won't help ;o
I will never trim my hairy chest. Never. Unless it becomes more like fur than hair. Then I will.
Waxing! A man does not look good when he is sweating and his chest is full of hair. ECkkk! Though if he does not like waxing he should at least trim so its not as hairy.
I don't mind a little bit but seriously... enough is enough
@taylorlodge@xanga - Me too!! All my brothers have hairy bodies. I grew up with it and frankly I am a little bit grossed out by guys who have the whole baby soft smooth chest thing going on. I had to do a swimsuit photo shoot with these guys who had the whole baby oiled naked chest thing going and when I had to put my hand on their chest it was kind of icky. It just seemed unnatural.I would try very hard not to hold it against a guy if he had no body hair, I mean not every guy can be so full of testerone, but I do tend to be drawn to guys who are hairy.
I know what you mean
NO way! I think hairy chests are awesomely sexy. When I see chest hair on a good looking guy--well, I won't tell you about my initial reaction. Nevertheless--the more the better.
yeah, some of us don't care about being a pretty boy. And, yes, there are definitely many women (like my girlfriend) who like their men a big rugged. For example, look at all the women getting weak in the knees over Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
Hairy backs and shoulders bother me more. But I agree... I don't like to see a tuft peeking out of the guy's collar.
@asdfghjkieu@xanga - Referring to yourself in the 3rd person...it's been a while since I've last seen that.
I feel sorry for the fellas who have to do the whole shaving chest thing. It's bad enough to have to face your damn face all the time. I guess I have to be thankful of my Asian genes...I think hairy chested Asians are in the very low minority.
stop being a pussy and grow some chest hair
@Mr_Jin@xanga - is that a bad thing? :O
So glad I don't grow hair on my chest. I see people with "chest blankets" and want to throw up. You wouldn't guess with the amount on my head, but I really despise hair.
i haz no chest chair, yus! =D
body hair on men iz TOTALLY sexy i love it i want mor offit & i want it now
I could never, ever, ever date a guy that waxed anything. Period. I like men to be men. Which means being hairy.
has chest, back, stomach, leg, buttock and pube hair and plans on keeping it all... lol if you dont like then its a plus lol
too disgusting, reminds me of pubes. I'm digusted just typing out the word, pubes. eww~ lol if the guy has a nice body but has a hairy chest, then it is a major turn-off.
yes please
guys need to cut that shit out
I used to shave, but I'm not that hairy to begin with. My g/f virtually demanded that I stop, though. I think body hair looks dumb; she has these ideas about m-a-s-c-u-l-i-n-i-t-y and crap that connect sexuality with the presence of body hair. I think it's restrictive, but if a social "restriction" lets me be a bit lazy, so be it then. But if ever I get in shape like I planned to...f'k it!
Here's a DON'T: at one point in my life, it wasn't uncommon to meet guys that were hairy enough for their facial hair and chest hair to connect as one big nasty mass. It was warm where I was living, so those guys frequently wore polo shirts--unbuttoned, mind you--and shaved baby smooth. The catch was that they would shave their FACE leaving a crisp line across their clavicle that even the best kept goatee would envy. I laughed frequently. Just go all the way if it's that bad, guys. Really.
haha as shallow as it sounds i agree
No way! I always hated body hair when I dated boys, but as I grew up, so did the men I dated. Shaved looks pre-pubescent
@whitetrashpoet@xanga - Exactly. If I wanted hairless, I'd go for little boys...which would make me a child molester. So, no.
Although I can see where a guy could have too much, but still. No waxing. Trimming would be okay.
a slighty hairy chest is hot to much is not good. a little manscaping goes a long way
