i was just reading something yesterday about how "hundreds are sick, 7 hospitalized in the US" from swine flu.
7. out of over 300 million.
let me know when half the population is in danger... then i'll be scared.

I'm a little in the middle of the whole thing. I agree that the media is indeed treating the whole thing as if it's the apocalypse of the twenty first century. I just heard today that WHO announced the threat level of the pandemic is now at level 5 (out of 6 levels, so we're pretty high up there I suppose).
All the while, media treats the whole thing as if it's some unstoppable zombie virus outbreak that's about to kill the whole human race. One of the members of WHO today actually said (I'm paraphrasing) that all of humanity is under threat of this new virus.
While I agree with the mass paranoia due to the media overstating these things, could it be that we, the public, might be taking it a little less seriously than we should? I guess, like most people have been advising, take proper precautions and what not. That's all.

Much like AIDS and Cancer, the government carefully and secretively constructed, administered it and maintains it instead of treating and curing it.
I think it was Chris Rock who said "theres no money in the cure" and he couldn't have been more right.
They just want everyone to panic so they can declare martial law. Aint gonna happen, we as a people are more intelligent and better informed than our forefathers in the lecherous plannings of our government.
