Since summer is right around the corner, so that means action packed movies hitting your nearest theatre. This is a great time for guys since many of the summer movies include, explosions, guns, robots, among many other things.
So to start off the upcoming summer, here's 7 movies every guy should go see:
7.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
It doesn't have any connection to X-3 (thank God), but gives a glimpse into how Wolverine became what he is. Plus you've got a fan favorite in Gambit blowing things up (hopefully) with his kinetic energy.
What's not to like in a movie like this? Fans wanted more Wolverine in the X-Men trilogy, and now they've got it.
6.
G.I. Joe: Rise of The Cobra
Another movie created from action figures. Although many box office gurus don't think it'll be a successful movie, it still provides enough action for guys (and girls) to go check out the movie. If your one of those guys that had the toys in the 80's and 90's, then you'll definitely want to check this movie out.
5.
Star Trek
Nerds and nerdettes alike will be gathering to check out this movie, but it might end up being a great movie for just your average guy as well. The trailer had amazing action scenes, which appeal to everyone. I'm not a big Star Trek, but I'm definitely going to see this movie.
4.
Terminator: Salvation
Arnold won't be in this movie, but you've got a great cast starting with Christian Bale aka Batman, playing the role of John Connor, trying to save the humans in a post-apocalyptic future. There's guns, killer robots, a man on a mission and the end of civilization on the line, that's a perfect guy movie.
3. The Proposal
Sandra Bullock returns to the big screen with Ryan Reynolds in this.....Just Kidding!, no guy is going to watch this on his own. Better yet, no guy should go watch this movie at all unless he has to or is forced to. NOW ON TO THE REAL #3.
3.
Bruno
Last time we saw Sasha Baron Cohen, he was offending countries and making people laugh at the same time in Borat. This time he returns as a gay fashion designer (I think) trying to prove to American that he's not. Either way, this movie is going to do great and men will love it.
2.
Public Enemies
Johnny Depp leaves the Black Pearl behind to rob banks in a 1930's gangster movie. Oh yeah that Batman guy is in this one too. Guns, gangsters, Depp and Batman. Not a bad combination for an awesome movie.
1.
Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen
The first movie put Megan Fox in the spotlight and in the minds of millions of men. But there's a bigger story here, killer robots from outer space out to destroy earth. Plus Michael Bay is directing, so almost everything in the movie will blow up into a gazillion pieces.
What movies are you looking forward to this summer? Are you going to go watch any of the above seven movies?

Haha, I actually wanna see all of those movies too :P
I walked out of the first Transformers so I won't be watching that one again.
Never was a Wolverine +Star Trek fan so -minus those two.
GI Joe always died since I thought Cobra was way cooler, but I'll probably see that one.
Terminator for sure. Bruno too.
Not sure about Public Enemies, gonna watch the trailer now.
omg i want to see transformers 2 SO BAD.
Public Enemies look sooo good and (i guess i have a bias since im a girl ) the proposal trailer was actually really funny and lots of guys were laughing
I might make my boyfriend watch The Proposal. That's the only movie that is interesting to me >.> lol :)
Good list! Just gonna add some comedies as well; Year One and Funny People
I'm too excited for Transformers. But Dennis Quaid in G.I. Joe? Not so much...
omg i wanna watch transformer 2 and wolverinee ! (and of course, the proposal ;) )
You have to add Funny People, Year One, and The Hangover as well.
HARRY POTTER!!! How can anyone forget :p
@RazorBladeParade@xanga - Agreed; I'm a little iffy on Channing Tatum. The only reason why I wanna watch GI is because of their kickass uniforms.
So why is this a guy thing? I like all those movies except the proposal ...sorry I love sandra but a movie has to blow something up or lob off some heads in the first 10 minutes to keep my interest....not really a big trekky fan but if blood or bombs are involved im there. not a big chick flick fan ....what???
just cause im a woman doesnt mean I HAVE to like chick flicks!
I saw the trailer for transformers 2 ....that is definitly a big screen movie for me =)
WHY'S IT "EVERY GUY" HUH???
what about girls??? HMPH!
yay~ x-men and transformers looks so exciting. cant wait to see daniel henney *yummy*
Actually, The Proposal sounds interesting. :D
transformers. it's all about blowing shit up. awesome.
public enemies, because johnny depp is a fox and freaking awesome. wolverine with hugh jackman for the same reason ^_^
the proposal, because ryan reynolds...mhmm
(sense a trend here?)
and star trek. i'm not ashamed to be a trekkie.
honestly, the only movie i really wanna watch is Terminator Salvation. some other movies i also wanna see are Wolverine, and Public Enemies, but I'm not going to pay for the tickets. its not worth 10 bucks.
Bruno and Public Enemies look good.
If these are truly the best films this summer will offer, we are in trouble. These choices pretty much suck. The Wolverine movie is going to blow harder than the second and third X-Men movies did. GI Joe is most likely going to be a giant turd, a commercial for toys that were sold 25 years ago. Star Trek might or might not be a good movie, and might or might not have been a good idea in the first place. Terminator without Arnold is pointless, and Christian Bale is a pitiful replacement for him as the star. This movie will redefine "suck." Bruno will not even be as funny as Borat, which was not quite as humorous as the holocaust. Public Enemies might be good, if Christian Bale's role is a SMALL one. Transformers was fun, and this might be fun too. The sad thing is, the one movie on here as a "joke" will probably be better than almost all of the rest of this list. It's a sad movie season when the best it has to offer is a Transformers sequel.
funny, I thought that Wolverine was actually a movie geared to women. Reason: it stars sexass guys, and there is somebody for every taste.
1. Hugh Jackman
2. Ryan Reynolds
3. Liev Schrieber
4. Taylor Kitsch
So maybe it's an action and comic book film, but guys beware, this movie theater will be FULL of women freaking out every 5 seconds.
in order: yes, yes, yes, yes, maybe if it's on tv...yes, yes, yes
i'll probably see all of those, but i wouldn't have put them in that order.
