F-Buddy Does Not Equal Disrespect
Forgive me if I am being ignorant, but I do not see how sex with an F-Buddy equals disrespect. If two consenting adults choose to engage in some fun that involves their genitals touching, then what's so immoral about that? And how is the act of sex with your spouse any different than with a F-Buddy? Does it make it less dirty? Why can't we be left alone without pompous jerks passing judgment over us?
Ever consider that perhaps we aren't thinking too lowly of ourselves, but you are the one that thinks too highly of yourself? Just because you are righteous, doesn't make you right. I don't care if you think you are morally superior, I just want to live life the way I choose to without the likes of you stamping your feet at me.
That said, the word "respect" is highly subjective. In some cultures, it is disrespectful to finish all the food on your plate, where others find it rude if you don't. In Asian cultures, it is disrespectful to wear shoes in the house, and yet, in households in America, I've seen people wear their shoes in bed! It's all a matter of perspective. While you may deem a F-Buddy as morally reprehensible and disrespectful to women, I see it no more disrespectful than playing Nintendo Wii with her. How would you like it if I made an arbitrary rule and told you your favorite hobbies are considered disrespectful? Are you a vegetarian? How dare you insult the dignity of meat eaters! Do you like watching movies? How dare you enjoy the witchcraft of optics! Do you have a tennis partner? How dare you play with him if he's not your husband you whore!
These kinds of buzzkillingtons have always been out to ruin other peoples' fun. They are the types that want to ban violent video games, censor female nudity, prohibit alcohol, eradicate homosexuals, and keep marijuana illegal. Go out and live life!
Is having sex with an F'Buddy equal disrespect?

Personally, I see at as disrespect of one's self. I can see your point, but I prefer to not get involved with any of that.
Omg, am I the first to comment? w00t.
Can I be a staff writer now? Kthx.
Well, if you have MULTIPLE ones.
But most Fuck buddies tend to get more attached.
My boyfriend and I were fuck buddies at first, and we had a strong attraction to it.
It's starts being disrespectful when you're having sex with a LOT of people. that's just nasty.
That's how I see it.
I don't think Fuck buddies are a bad thing
& I'm a girl.
go figure.
You're totally right. As long as both partners are willing and honest with each other, there is not a damn thing wrong with it.
as long as that buddy is completely aware that type of relationship between you is purely sexual and he/she feels the same way, then no it is not disrespectful.
pwnage pov
totally...im new to the whole f-buddy thing, but i dont see anything wrong with it, we're two adults who want the same thing, we're not hurting any one...so yeah...go figure!
"These kinds of buzzkillingtons have always been out to ruin other peoples' fun."
The fact is that if she doesn't find having sex with you compromising her own self respect and self worth then she will keep having sex with you. No one is trying to ruin your fun.
As for women who are pressured into having sex when they don't want to.. yes it does mean that there is a lack of respect there either for herself or from the guy she's sleeping with.
As for me, I wouldn't get involved with someone purely for fun. I believe sex should be between 2 people who care a lot about/love each other.
is "friends with benefits" the same thing? *scratches head*
HELL YEAH! I agree with you. Being f-buddies definitely does not mean disrespect. Those whores who play tennis with people other than their husbands can go stuff it.
haha. I don't think of sex as something dirty or morally wrong so the idea of fuck buddies is totally okay with me
I think I actually come on here a lot defending the idea. I've had a couple fuck buddies and its all good fun. It's one of the best stress relievers in the world and it just plain old feels good. It's healthy to keep a good sex life if anything.
My only rule is that I can only fuck one guy per period of time. Like I would never fuck more than one guy in between periods. I wouldn't want to get pregnant and not know who the dad is.
I think we as human beings have made sex too sacred. I like to think of it as something I can enjoy with both lovers and good friends. :P
Also, I like to actually be friends with my fuck buddy. I remember last time I said this a bunch of girls got all bothered by it and said I was being stupid. If anything, I think I'm being smart, responsible, and maybe a little bit more respectful but keeping a friendship with those I bang. I think those girls get confused with the terms "fuck buddy" and "booty call" lol
For the most part, I agree with you. I see no problem with fuck-buddies, if it's a mutual understanding.
Unfortunately, alot of girls enter into a fuck-buddy partnership with the delusion of it evolving into something more. They end up getting hurt and turn around and say that their buddy used them. That's why it's seen as disrespectful.
Amen to this.
I don't have a f-buddy, but I definitely agree with your point of view.
@beezu283@xanga - Yup, sure is. Both mean that you're buddies who happen to fuck every now and then.
everyone has their needs, right?
Hmm... kind of an angry post, no? Anyway, you're right. Respect (much like a lot of other words) is relative.
However, what point was brought up in the other post was also right. A lot of f-buddies end up getting attached (either one or the other, rarely is it both of them), and then they complain about what to do. All the while, they continue to sex due to a lack of knowledge on how to approach the situation. I think that's what the other poster meant about a lack of self-respect.
wasn't this from sex and the city? i'm kidding. it sure seems like it with the question at the end.
I don't see it as disrespectful, really. As long as neither person feels disrespected or used or anything like that, it should be fine.
Here! Here!
I agree.
duuuuuude
society nowadays is fuuuuuuuucked UP! if this can be considered a serious argument. So now fucking is the same thing as going over to a friends house and playing Wii...right-Oanyhow, you have the right to your opinions and life style while others are allowed theirs. But, respect isnt really subjective in the way you put it, cuz promiscuous sex, well at least in the form of fuck buddies, is seen as disrespectful all over and its just a minority that sees it otherwise. What guy in their right mind would be seriously attracted to a woman they know has been around? Thats right, NONE.
this is like if a girl having a lot of guy friends then she's a slut.
but if a guy has a lot of girl friends then he's a pimp or a player...
well put yourself in our shoes and see how we would feel being a mere sex toy..what do the guys have to lose?
you guys don't get pregnant...you can have sex without protection and nothing would happen to you. if we have sex without protect or pills then we're the ones that's gonna get pregnant with a burden for 9 months and 10 days.
just because 2 people agree to give up and pleasuring each other..doesn't mean both parties are gaining something.
somebody has to sacrifice whether it's morals, self-respect, or take risks.
oh my gawd! how dare you insult people with meaningful sexual relationships!
LOL
Good point though.
@asdfghjkieu@xanga - only 9 months? try like 20 years.
unless you give the kid up to the state. which might be worse than abortion, in my book.
@asdfghjkieu@xanga - That term that guys sleeping with a lot of girls mean he's a player
& it's only people who make the term "player" a good thing.
It isn't. It's wrong.
My brother is a player, I hate it. And people hate him for it.
& on the F- buddy situation.
If you both agree, than it isn't wrong.
& guys who don't use protection DO have something to gain, they become fathers.
Just cuz Women carry it around doesn't make it any less their kid than the mans.
Men will get the speech "dude, you should have wrapped it before you tapped it"
& depending on the girl they are sleeping with unprotected, they can get STD's.
Sorry, I usually agree with you.
But this time I don't.
@BranmacFeabhail@xanga - Same as mine, giving the kid to government is as worse than Abortion.
The kid lives his life knowing his mother and father didn't want him.
