The Yankees officially started their season yesterday with a loss to the Orioles. Derek Jeter like his usual self, had a good game but if he didn't, it wouldn't have mattered.

Jeter is an immortal in NYC and probably will continue to be, even if he doesn't win another ring.

But that hasn't changed his off the field game at all and it never will.

I hate Jeter just as much as I hate the Yankees, but I have to admit, he's done very very well. And he's still free to "play the field." No pun intended.
