Invisibility, so I can be sneaky and listen in on people's conversations. ;)
And hide too, when necessary!
Batman's power of being rich. =x
Mind reading. So much useful applications to that and it sure would help me be an amazing psychologist!
I want to able to fly. I fly in my dreams all the time. It's so disappointing to wake and find I can't in real life. And, you know, I'm sure there could be some hero application of such an ability.
High-speed flight. Make my commutes quicker, and cheaper on the gas.
Absolute knowledge, I would want to know everything. How everything worked, what makes up life, how to predict the future, how to fly how to stop time. It's basically every power rolled into one plus so much more. To know that nothing is to be feared because it would all make sense in the universe... so knowledge and understanding. (best super power ever)
@Roadlesstaken@xanga - I agree, mind reading would be the best... then maybe I'd be able to understand women... probably not, but maybe.
If the roleplaying game, Abberant, is anything to go by, Metal Manipulation is probably the most cracked power. It breaks the game because practically everything has metal in it these days.
However, I'd probably want telekinesis so I could both fly and move shit around. It's not an overpowered power, but it'd be really useful, and I don't think I'd become corrupted by it.
@AnreaEmmy@xanga - You want omniscience? You'd no longer be human, and, well, life would be really, really boring if nothing was a mystery or had to be sought out by your own initiation. I'd rather die than have that power, and I don't think I, nor anyone else, would be responsible with it in the end. (Maybe at first because I am a good person, but "absolute power corrupts absolutely." Human beings are not meant to be as gods.)
Also, just because you know how something works doesn't automatically mean you are capable of doing it. However, it sounds like what you want to be is literally a god with omniscience (unlimited knowledge), omnipotence (unlimited power), and possibly even omnipresence (everywhere at every time). I'm afraid and highly suspicious of anyone who wants that. And according to your Xanga, you're an atheist? -scratches head-
@Ampbreia@xanga - I have the same dreams and disappointments. :\
Superhuman speed. Never have to be late for work again, and you can stop hundreds of crimes in the space of a few hours.
@Roadlesstaken@xanga - That's exactly what I want haha.
Just straight up being able to read minds. You'd be able to do so much with only the knowledge of what those around you are thinking.
Flying. Because.
@AnreaEmmy@xanga -
@methodElevated@xanga - Fortunately for me, I already have said super powerz. I know everything and everything I say and do is right. Because I says so.
I hath spoken.
Teleportation.
Then I could go anywhere I wanted, whenever I wanted.
@I_Am_Serious_Cat@xanga - LMAO All hail Serious Cat. He haz da powah.
@brokenheartedboi@xanga - Funny thing was after I wrote my comment I thought about that Mel Gibson movie What Women Want haha
@Spyder_V@xanga - I know right? Thing is you gotta wrestle with the moral dilemma of whether you should invade one's privacy to extract information they may or may not want you to know. Alright, I'm gonna stop being a dork now =P
@methodElevated@xanga - And since you're a lesbian, you shall be spared once I take over the earth and completely pwn everyone who is not a lesbian in it. That is not including myself.
@Pass_the_Aura@xanga - I can also fly. It's part of being all-powerful ya know.
@I_Am_Serious_Cat@xanga - But I'm not completely lesbian. Will I still be saved?
@methodElevated@xanga - Mostly. You will have to clean my litterbox twice a week though. And since I'm all-powerful, so are mah turdz.
super-strength!! if i was strong like superman, i would be fast too because of the strength of my legs. and i could jump so high that it might as well be flying. and my muscles would have to be super hard to be that strong, so i'd be almost bullet proof. yep, super-strength it is!
telekinesis. I could levitate myself and others as well.
ability to fly at supersonic speeds and withstand low oxygen and cold. would make traveling simpler.
i would not want to read minds, because what if you couldn't shut the voices out? or you learned something you'd really not rather know?
@methodElevated@xanga - It's all in good fun. Won't you take it easy!
You would rather die than know everything? How could that be boring... it would be the most exciting life experience there is, it just depends what you want to do with it.
And yes if you knew everything you would know how to do it, if you couldn't then you would know how to make it so that you can.
Knowledge does not make someone dangerous it only amplifies danger. I feel like my comment scared you, not my intention. Everyone should want more for themselves and know that they would do the right thing with great power.
Don't be suspicious of those who want to know the real meanings of life it's human nature.
also, I feel like your comment on my atheism is discriminatory and judgmental, I hope that was not your intention. =)
It makes more sense for someone that doesn't believe in god to not be afraid of being one. I trust myself more than I trust anyone else. I don't expect you to trust me but... I don't see myself becoming a god anytime soon so no worries.
I'm a huge Superman fan, so I'd have to say flying. But teleportation sounds pretty cool
