Things Real Men Can Do: A Response
But I guess I'm going to make another one.The last one here was a list of things "only real men can do." It was clearly flawed.
Anyone can wear Pink for instance, and it certainly doesn't make you many if you do. (Sorry girls, all that pink isn't making you manly, go figure).
There really aren't many things that only a real man can do. But there are certainly some requirements for being a real man.
- A real Man (if healthy) can serve in the military to defend his country.
- A real man can stand up for what he believes in, whatever the cost.
- A real man has feelings. Robots cannot be real men.
- A real man can fight.
- A real man can control his temper enough that he doesn't start fights over little things.
- A real Man isn't afraid to get his hands dirty.
- A real man is faithful is faithful to his girlfriend/wife and family.
- A real man can tell his wife to make a sammich.... JK. A real man can make a sandwich himself..when he has to.
- A real man doesn't let people push him around, including his wife.
- A real man will do things for his wife to make her happy.
What are some other traits a real man would posses?

Now, this is a better list than the other one.
lmao, "a sammich". i love it ^_^ definitely an improvement to the other list, although both are good.
I'm glad someone posted this!
I never liked the whole "real me wear pink" thing. It was campy, overrated, and just gave certain guys an excuse to come up with a new fashion statement.
I agree to all but #1... If we are in an unjust war and we have no business being there, then no I disagree.
Dude you're now officially my hero. If I could give you five million eprops, I'd do it.
A real man can sand unfinished furniture with his five o' clock shadow.
agreed :)
Oh gawd, not another one of these. So everyone here is going to start a list of what "real men" are, are we?
@Neurotically_Mine@xanga - That falls under the category of standing up for what he believes in, ie, fighting the draft. But we haven't fought a war like that since the Spanish American war.
i totally agree!
Much, much, MUCH better. ^_^
ouch was the wife standing over yer shoulder as you wrote this ??????
some tiny lil filly have yer nads in her hand and knife in other????
ouch.... really really ouch....
@beforedawn@xanga - I'm not Married.
Perhaps you think real men wear pink, can't fight, cheat on their wives, have no self control, and scream "make me a sammich and say my D's for me!"?
I don't. And as a side note, at least I have nads. (It's an insult to your manhood, sorry for confusing you)
@Neurotically_Mine@xanga - Actually I said "to defend his country" so if we have no business being there it wouldn't even count, imho.
hahhaa. i agree.
p.s. i prefer men not wear pink... and, i would love to make a man a sammich -- i'd just prefer he ask nicely, not command it.
@John_of_the_bloomdocks@xanga -
lol real women were in the war 2003 with us fighting...
soo..
as to the rest
i
am married and my wife carries my nads in her purse but i wanna hear
stories bout real men and not what women create in us k...
would like to keep me dreams alive at least
(deep heart wrenching sigh here)>>> sighs....
A real man isn't afraid to challenge Chuck Norris' roundhouse with his own. (tho he may fail lol)
@Neurotically_Mine@xanga - Well, if we're "defending our country" like the author said, than I think that probably constitues it a "just war."
@AlfaChaos@xanga - Ironically Chuck Norris didn't use the roundhouse kick in real fights. He dodged the kicks and got up close when his target was worn out from kicking the air.
@Neurotically_Mine@xanga - when was the last time you visited Iraq? care to tell me what you saw and your views on how things are going to be ran more efficiently?
@Peter5ol@xanga - LOL what? If you served in the army that is great. Doesn't make the war any more just now does it?
i've spent a total of 29 months in iraq. in those 29 months i've seen this country do a complete 180. let's put it this way. say you're shopping at your local grocery, and you see a parent and their child. you're walking behind them, and from what you can see, this child is not misbehaving in anyway. all of a sudden the parent just starts beating the shit out of their kid. are you just gonna stand and watch? or are you going to intervene? and after you intervene are you just going to go home thinking that what you did was complete? no, because as soon as you're out of the picture, that parent is going to continue to beat the child continuously. yea, i know the reasons why we went into the war were for the right reasons. you can think it was oil, or "WMD"s or whatever, either way. we did good things in this country and stopped a lot of future bloodshed. now do i think that America should act as the World Police? no, but when things get out of hand, certain actions are necessary.
@John_of_the_bloomdocks@xanga - *shrugs* I was just trying to be funny
@Peter5ol@xanga - sure..believe what you need to justify your participation in it. what I know is that, this war is unnecessary and thousands of Americans have paid the price for it.
