10 Things Women Say and What They Really Mean
A few days ago we had a list of things guys say and the real meanings behind them.
Well, one of our readers (Thanks to Elf_ Hk@Xanga) decided to write a list of things women say and the meanings behind those words.10 Things women say and what they mean:
- "I'm Fine"= Things are not fine and I’m mad at you.
- "Fine, Do whatever you like I'm cool with it" = No I'm not fine with it, I dare you to do it.
- "We need to do this(or that)" = I WANT to do this (or that)
- "We need to talk" = I need to complain and I expect you to listen.
- "I like your friends, but..." = I hate your friends.
- "I really like that guy's hair" = I hate yours.
- "I'll be ready in a minute" = Let me do my hair, make up, and try on a couple more dresses.
- "Am I fat?" = Just tell me iI'm beautiful. If you don't you are in deep shit.
- "Are you listening to me?" = You are so dead.
- "Yes, Maybe, No" = No, No, No.

I just say what I feel, but I make sure I word it nicely. Most women prefer to keep honest emotions inside and say whatever sounds nice.
I read this somewhere before. It's pretty accurate, but the one comment about "I really like that guy's hair" is not something I'd say. A guy's hair really doesn't bother me all that much.
But even so, it's pretty accurate, yeah
i'm a straight shooter.

You've got to be kidding when you imply that men beat around the bush...unless you mean that literally. Women are far more prone to use double speak than men. Heck, we often find ourselves in major hot water with women because we are so blunt.
This is pretty accurate, usually. i tend to be a little more blunt unless talking about a subject I just don't want to talk about. I'll usually say what I mean though. But I know a lot of people who do most if not all of these!

@misswonderj@xanga - The other post proves my point as most of them are response phrases to things women say. To be blunt would put us in the dog house. This post has more initial conversation phrases in which the man is forced to interpet and simply agree with what the woman has said.
I agree with We need to talk. That is true for me.
guys, i wish these entries were more original... i've read/heard all of these before in women's magazines and/or those annoying chain e-mails passed around. lame.
women beat around the bush a helluva lot more. its almost as if they speak a totally different language

yeah we beat around the bush, but i know a few guys who do the same...
we say what we don't mean and we also say what we mean.
it's important to scrutinize when we are expecting a truthful answer and when we want you to lie to us.
Such as questions of fidelity. We usually already know whether you have cheated on us or not, we are merely asking you to see if you got the balls to admit to your wrongdoings.. it's a test so better own up.
Other questions like.. Do you think that girl/mysister/myrelative/mybestfriend is more attractive than me.. you lie. If you don't you are really stupid and deserve what is coming to you.
Oh, Mancouch and your wonderful ability to copy and paste list after list. Very true though, old, but true.
Sometimes I'm blunt other times I might beat around the bush. I think it all depends on the guy.
I think women do beat around the bush a lot more than guys. Also, when a girl says "I'm fine", it doesn't necessarily mean she's mad at you. It just means (for me and a LOT of other girls) that they're NOT fine and want you to ask what's really wrong to show you have an interest in us.

I don't know about other girls, but I've always been pretty straight-forward. Beating around the bush just complicates everything. So yeah, I suppose this list doesn't fit me very well. :)

Ha, girls beat around the bush a ton more. Guys are just upfront about shit. They don't really care what they say. They hate our "mixed signals" so much they probably avoid doing it themselves at all costs. But, there have been times where my guy hasn't been straight forward. I guess it all depends on the person.
