Is New Cheerios Commercial Insulting To Men?
Watch this and tell me what you think:
Is the Cheerios commercial insulting to men? Or have women always been like the actress in the commercial?

but isnt the point to let women think they're better so we can get some :3
^^ i believe he might be right.
oh please... this is ridiculous. what about all the beer comercials that show women as sluts?
@Kevin_is_a_pirate@xanga - hahahahahahahaha that wuz gud
btw she never shudda married that loozer weenie to begin with
I thought it was just a cute commercial. The media does,however, often portray mean as somehow inferior to their wives, as "doofuses" as the guy said. But that guy went a little too far with it. Hahaha "Well I like cherrios" hahaha
@midgetmachine@xanga - exactly.
the negative portrayals of men in the media come nowhere close to the negative portrayals of women in the media.
women have to be thin and beautiful. even though they are smart and pretty, they date down. to show how ugly men "have a chance." they're depicted as sluts in order for beer to sell, shampoo, razors, anything that is geared for men to buy. there are no fat women on TV that play major roles on TV and are respected.
this commercial is nothing to complain about.
i love this commercial! he has a point and i think the woman is just doing what women do best, read into things!
what i find more funny/insulting about this commercial is that they have two versions. one version uses the original british accents and the second has dubbed over voices of a man and woman who don't have the accents. i'm told the dubbed over commercial is for american audiences which confuses me cause you can understand the british couple perfectly!
I generally like Bill but that was retarded. You can hit a man in the crotch because he's strong? But hitting a woman is wrong because she's weak?
A) Hitting anyone in the crotch is wrong. And hitting a man in the crotch can actually do some real damage. I know of a guy, well, I've met him, he's a distant relative. Who got a severe injury from a baseball that way. A snow globe would be more dangerous, because glass is harder, and if it breaks, it's going to be razor sharp.
Bill needs somebody under him to do that to him. Maybe he'd learn something.
Eh, I thought it was an amusing commercial. I didn't take it seriously.
HAHAHAHAHA. Hilarious commercial. Hilarious interview. Both sides are probably right, there are lots of negative stereotyping in media, but... what's wrong with that? Comon, it's FUNNY. Until the stereotyping becomes catastrophically blatant and uniform, it's NOT A BIG DEAL. You have media portraying men like this and you have Jack Bower. You have victoria's secret models and you have Oprah. It's fine. Chill out.
You know how many commercials are demeaning to woman?
It just proves how women are brain ninjas. Once they get in there, they tear shit up.
IS IT* insulting? :O or are men just taking things too seriously? I thought they were the " laid-back " chilled sex? :P
OMG this is stupid. women are ALWAYS perceived as WEAK and NEEDY and NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING about that! but when a MAN is not STRONG or POWERFUL???? he DESERVES to be STRONG?? WHAT THE FUCK?? it is such a big deal? THIS IS MESSED UP!!
@DeadXTendencies@xanga - YES!!! that's what i'm saying!!
I seriously hate that commercial.
Men, I am very, very sorry that some women behave in this fashion.
It is stupid and you do not deserve it.
this isnt new.
@Kevin_is_a_pirate@xanga - because who needs integrity when you're getting laid, right? right?
the commercial is doing what it is supposed to, its getting the brand attention. So, who really cares?
@iheartyou09909@xanga - I find it amusing that you said women are "always" portrayed as week on a post about a topic in which the woman is not portrayed as weak or needy.
well, as long as she isn't performing a castration of him, i don't see it exceptionally insulting, outside the typical submissive husband role.
it was a cute commercial. I've seen manly guys do this when they've pissed off their SO. It was just meant to be funny and cute. This guy needs to get over himself. It's just a commercial obviously not targeted at him.
i hate this commercial. i would never say that to my bf. haha.
Suck it up, pussies. That's all I have to say.
