Womanizers get a bad rep in America. We are regarded like Atheists, homosexuals, and Frankenstein. Society's misconceptions and misunderstandings can lead to downright hostility, which keeps our lifestyle in the closet.
I've noticed that women, Revelifers, and Yellow Fever debaters, which make it dangerous territory for the womanizer camp, dominate Xanga. Just like Obama made his case to the Arab nation, I am making my case to the Xanga nation.
What a womanizer is:We enjoy the company and affection of women. This is pretty obvious already. But our main goal is not simply to sleep with any Plain Jane or to add any notches to a bedpost.
Rather, we enjoy the feeling that someone thinks of us and admires us. Sex is not even necessary. The simple thought that you can have it at any time is rewarding enough. In return, we try to show them a good time. I believe that’s a fair trade.
We have checklists, just like everyone else. The only difference is, instead of synergy, we embrace interchangeability.
Normal people make the mistake of applying all their criteria into one person. This will guarantee disappointment since any individual cannot obtain true perfection.
A womanizer opts for interchangeability because we understand this fact. Instead of applying this list to one person, we choose find several different women that can check off each box in their own way.
For example, we have sporty girl that can have a beer and watch the game with, smart girl that we can talk politics with, hot girl that we can take out and make other guys jealous, etc. By spreading risk, we minimize disappointment. Why put all your eggs in one basket?
We are careful. Contrary to popular belief, we are not a perfect storm of STDs. We always use condoms and get checked out regularly every year.
Any guy that pressures you to have sex without protection is simply a moron with a penis. The last thing we want is to impregnate you and get stuck with 216 monthly payments or contract some viral infection.
What a womanizer is not:We are not abusive. This is because we have plenty of women on the roster and can easily rotate you until you chill out.
Since you do not monopolize out hearts and penises, we have no reason to get controlling. Only serious people in serious situations lead to abuse, and that is not our style. We view women like light bulbs. As long as we turn them on, everything is fine. But once they burn out, we just replace them. Why spend months yelling at a broken light bulb?
We never say, “I love you.” To us, the L word is as powerful as a nuclear bomb and should never be used unless it’s a real end game scenario. We may tell lies time to time, but we would never resort to this one.
We do not pay for sex, nor do we resort to rape. Again, we get women for free, so why pay for it? We always get a bad rep for “taking advantage of women.”
The truth is, the most we’d ever do is offer them a drink (not spiked). But it is only an offer and we never insist on it.
If the girl accepts, then it’s on her own free will. And I don’t buy into the notion that having drunk sex equates to date rape. Whether a chick is drunk or not, she can still make bogus claims.
Does this change your views on womanizers? Why are womanizers looked down on in our society?

it's truly based simply on a person's perspective. a true "womanizer" WILL BE a known womanizer. and so thus, a woman who chooses to be with one isn't "tricked" but rather they willingly want to be womanized. (is that even the right term). but then again i figure, if there's a womanizer than there sure as hell are manizers. and obviously womanizers are either selfproclaimed (have you seen tyra's womanizer episodes? HOLY CRAP those poor disillusioned men :( ) or they actually have something that draws women (and pisses them off). sorry if this is confusing. i guess my point is i doubt there is a real definition of womanizer (except as a title of britney's new outlook on life), and if there were, then props to you womanizers out there. :)

From a girl's perspective, I figure as long as she knows up front you're a womanizer, then whatev. Sometimes it's nice to enjoy an nsa snuggle (or more). It gets complicated when she thinks she's the only one in your life...ya know what I mean?
No, because my biggest problem with a womanizer is that they aren't ever up front with all of the women about how they don't ever want to really be with them. This is probably because a lot of the women would disappear. So, it just seems that an important aspect of being a womanizer is being dishonest and a total prick.

My views of those sort never change. My pride and honor would be damaged if I condoned that way of life. However, I will not say that I couldn't be friends with such a person. I've known womanizers before, and I just don't care to know the details behind that side of their lives.

Most women do not want to be seen as having an expiration date- as someone who's replaceable. I don't know how you can post and think this, and actually think it's morally okay when I'd classify it as borderline evil.
Even if you say you'd okay with it, you know- YOU KNOW that most women are not. AND THAT IS WHY WE HATE YOU (or at least why *I* do).
Those girls who claim they are or think they are okay with being seen as a replaceable with an expiration date have probably already lost all of their self respect dealing with other guys like you in their past. Perhaps they've given up or think (wrongly- because not all or even most guys are like this) that this is the best they're gonna get, or even worse- that this is all they deserve.
Either that or they're sociopaths who have have no ability to feel anything for other people anyway (and I think a disproportionate amount of guys like you and like this are sociopaths as it is).

Women who get involved with open womanizers (such as the author of this blog) know the consequences of their actions. They know they're going to get burned for playing with fire.
I don't have a problem with womanizers as long as they're honest up front; as long as they make it clear that it's not going beyond certain boundaries. If a woman still gets involved with the hope she can "change him," it is absolutely her gamble that she needs to take responsibility for when losing. If she doesn't like it, she needs to be patient and look for love somewhere else.
@Filipendulous@xanga - I don't think many men are 100% up front about such a situation. Then they'd very rarely get laid! I think a lot of men sort of make it clear, but then give "mixed messages" that they know will put a woman on edge. I think men enjoy this to an extent.
@OstentatiousEloquence@xanga - Exactly, which is why I said I only didn't mind them as long as they were honest. I've almost gotten involved with a few myself, but to my surprise, they were up front with me before any real progress was made, and I decided that I wasn't the type of person that would be able to have that sort of inexclusive relationship, even though there are plenty of girls who are perfectly okay with it (which is why I'm not against womanizers. Sometimes a girl wants a one-nighter just as much as a guy does). My point is that if I had done something and been hurt in the end, I would have been at fault because I knew exactly what to expect.
However, lying to someone about your intentions is a different story entirely. Leading someone on is just mean, but that's definitely not the subject I was originally referring to.
@Filipendulous@xanga - Fair enough. I do think we're on the same page, but I still have very little respect for the kind of thinking the poster showed. It's one thing to have a one night stand; but the way he was explaining his lifestyle was as if he had a bunch of concubines, each to satisfy his every whim at his own discretion. People- men or women, should not be thought of in such a way, unless you're Muhammad or King David, and he is clearly neither. I think women may only submit to being a girlfriend among many if she has little self regarded, in most cases where psychopathy isn't present. Or if he's Hugh Hefner and she gets to be on tv and have a free boob job

Trust me, I have two brothers, both of which have experienced women who are just as (if not more so) promiscuous, hurtful, and dishonest as the men that you abhor. Knowing that they can have as many guys as they want is a self-esteem high that they can't resist.
If you still don't believe me, go to any typical bar and you'll see women flirting with every loser they can find who will buy them a drink. Do you think they're actually planning on giving their number out at the end of the night?

But that's the entire point. Women will just want to get the attention, but then not bother going further most of the time when they get it.
Men take it to a whole new level; they'll sleep with a vulnerable woman not for an ego boost like women usually do (and that makes the woman less respectable anyway, most of the time), but because they want as much ass as possible- (and unlike in the case of the female attention whore, this is sometimes not even seen as a bad or unrespectable thing by their fellow man), totally without regard for the female. Women don't usually take advantage of a man as much. And most men who do this completely know what they're doing; women who seek attention tend to seem more oblivious of the fact.
