Guys, Have You Ever Been Asked Out On a Date By a Woman? - ManCouch QOTD
QOTD
Guys, have you ever been asked out on a date by a woman? If not, then how would you feel if a woman were to ask you out? Be honest.
Ladies, have you ever asked out a guy? What was his reaction?

Why is this even an issue? Is it still socially unacceptable? We're in year, what, 2009?
Like if I were to ask a guy out on a date, he'd spit out whatever he was drinking, stare at me like an alien, point and yell, "WIIIIIIIIIIITCH! WITCH! PUT YOUR PETTICOAT BACK ON! BURN HER!"
If I were hanging out with any guy that would be uncomfortable by my obvious attempts at denouncing his masculinity by asking him out, it wouldn't even be an issue because I would deem him way too much of a douchebag to even see again.
@sizzl@xanga - I agree, this really shouldn't be an issue anymore. In fact, from my experiences it seems a lot of guys don't mind it and actually find it a turn on when the girl makes the first move. The first move doesn't really matter so much as what come after .
And yes, I have been asked out by a girl before and I never really saw that as a big deal. If anything, it shows me that the girl got some confidence in her, which is a big turn on for me.
I didnt ask him out as much...I just kinda told him I liked him...and kissed him. its been about 5 years now, still together.
I've never asked a guy out. I guess I'm just too old fashioned.
I've asked a few out...it's not a big deal to me. If I think a guy is attractive, then I go for it.
If I'm attracted to a guy, then hell yeah I'll go for it!
Yes, I have. I found it quite attractive. After a couple of dates with her, however, the feeling vanished.
@sizzl@xanga - whoa, chill out. the guy's just asking a question, i don't even know if it's that offensive.
for me personally, i don't mind if i have to ask the guy if he's shy, but i usually wait it out. girls want to be wanted. so sue me.
I've asked out a guy. I wanted to wait for him to initiate something, but sometimes girls have to be the one to take the pledge if he's shy and timid. When I asked, he looked pleasantly surprised and agreed to go out on a date. He even paid for everything!
After that occasion, HE was the one to ask me out. I considered this our second date. Now he's my boyfriend and we've been together for 9 months!
It was a great decision for me to ask him out the first time. If I didn't, I don't think we would be where we are now. Sometimes, guys just need a little push!
yeah :[ i asked one guy out before.
he rejected me. ever since then, i haven't asked a guy out again.
but it worked out fine for me :]
like my mommy dearest says, "Don't chase after guys, let the guys chase after you."
i've had fourteen boyfriends since that day. none of which i had to ask out.
I never asked out a guy before* - why ? I dont know not my thing I guess
But I do ask them to go hang out - the more casual stuff
i was asked out to prom by two different girls. although i turned em both down i think it's a major plus when girls have the confidence to do something like that.
definitely not
Twice, and no it didn't bother me. I actually thought it was really cute when they did it, plus it showed they have some confidence in themselves.
Nope. never. Don't plan on it.
I asked a guy to one of my school dances. He said yes, but we never ended up going. I gave that up...
I was asked by a girl to go to homecoming with her back in october, and she's now my girlfriend. She's a keeper, too.
Yes I have asked a guy out before. But I didn't really think of it as a date when i asked him but other people did. And now that i think of it, it was one. At that time, he just moved here...and didn't really know where to go in our city. And a co-worker told me about a festival/concert that day...and said to bring a boy along...so i did. I asked "new boy" hehe :) and i guess he kept giving me hints that he wanted to hang out... so it didn't seem like a big deal. :)
And he still paid for everything, i didn't want him paying for me, even though i tried paying for myself, but he still didn't let me pay. :) so i guess it was a date.
In high school when we had a dance or prom, I asked guys to go (friends & one guy that i liked) when no one asked me (i was lame/unpretty in hs) . And even in college i asked another guy friend that i thought was kinda cute, to go with me to my sorority's banquet dinner. I didn't think it was a big deal or anything...
But I wouldn't just say bluntly, "you wanna go out on a date with me?" (i don't like...actually, i hate getting rejected. hehe :P)
i would! (if i find the right or a good guy at least!) but so far, i havent!
1) I've never had to -yet-
2) I think I'd be too much of a chicken... I'd be a horrible boy. Ha ha. Or just single.
yeah, and as far as i thought, no problems because they went along with it. xp sometimes you get tired of hoping they'll make the first move so you just...do it yourself...
if i wanna get to know you, i'll make myself clear to you.
@STUDNET@xanga - HAHAHA!!!
sometimes i think i would have done pretty well as a male.
not that im gay.
Well I have asked a few guys out before and it wasn't a big deal
=) and it seemed pretty normal
umm nah i always end up doin the work lol...yea its bout time the girls step up to the plate since ya cant make up ur minds...thats shouldnt b an issue anymore in my opinion though...if
How come it's mostly all women answering the question???
Not that I mind. It's supposed to be a question for guys to answer. Where are they? It is nice to see all of the ladies taking an interest though. Maybe this is another clue as to why women understand relationship's better as well!
Anyway, to answer the question, - sure. I've been asked out by a few women and they were the best dates/friends/***** out of a lot of women I've met. It's a great feeling to be asked out by a woman. If it doesn't happen - there must be a reason why.
I had one send me a dozen roses at work!! That got the gossip really going and was pretty cool.
